One of the most intriguing trailers of the show belongs to Slitterhead, a game whose name I have trouble typing correctly. First look at Bokeh Game Studios new game, Slitterhead from the creator of Silent Hill. This game goes back to the creators roots after leaving the Silent.įrom Bokeh Game Studio, a developer founded last year by Silent Hill and Gravity Rush creator Keiichirō Toyama, the game looks like a more action-centric take on the horror genre. ![]() The indie team has, since then, been teasing its debut game, and at The Game Awards 2021, they finally unveiled it. At least that’s the impression I’m getting from the Slitterhead teaser trailer below. Called Slitterhead, their debut game is a new psychological horror title. Looks terrifying and also completely relatable. I mean, who hasn’t walked down the street late at night only to meet a nice young woman who transforms into a monster you couldn’t even picture in your worst nightmare? In the trailer, ordinary-looking residents of this city suddenly transform into grotesque creatures, lending a level of body horror and gore. The game will explore an original setting that blends the nostalgic sights of that city with pure fiction.” “Those who are familiar will probably have guessed from the trailer that the city is inspired by 1980s and ’90s Hong Kong,” said Toyama. The trailer shows that the game is set in an unspecified Asian city filled with shabby high-rises and storefronts with signs in Chinese, which Toyama told us is actually a fictional location. Toyama also shed a little new light on the game’s setting.
